There were only 13 skydiving-related deaths in 2018 or 1 in every 253,669 skydives/0.0004 percent of all jumps. Imagine how long the fall would feel once you realized that both your Main and Reserve Chutes had failed? Although this is extraordinarily rare, and probably only happens when someone intentionally tampers with the chutes. This is what our victim this week faced.
